This was a project where the design focus was on the kitchen and the staircase. The stair bookshelves were central to the client’s need to display their collectibles and a vast collection of artbooks. The client required a ‘dry kitchen’ that opened out to the living and dining space, and a ‘wet kitchen’ for heavier asian cooking. We extended designed an extended concrete worktop and created a box-frame around this that carried the new windows, cooker hood, shelves and drainer for the wet kitchen.
